Archana Shrestha, PhD

Dr. Archana Shrestha is the Associate Professor of Public Health at the Kathmandu School of Medical Sciences, and adjunct faculty at Yale University. She has a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington, and postdoc at Harvard School of Public Health. She is interested in developing, testing, and implementing preventive interventions to reduce the impact of non-communicable disease epidemics in low-income countries. She has been involved in community based health program development, implementation, research and education in Nepal for the last ten years. She conceived and is working as a co-PI in Dhulikhel Heart Study. She is also leading translational research to prevent diabetes through dietary modification in worksites of Nepal.
